I think the same as you Samuel, visionary architecture can be very ridiculous. Here in Spain, and in Europe in general, you can find thousands of projects like that one. We call them "Guggenheim effect", because after Gehry Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao many cities, towns and villages started to build extravagant architectures with few sensibility to the place and its history.
ReplyDeleteI think that Chicago is a great reference for modern urbanism and architecture, and it doesn´t need that kind of "sails" to be a modern city.
